For decades, the region known as “The Parrot’s Beak” in Northern Brazil has been known as one of the most violent frontiers on Earth. Far from the watchful eyes of the law, press and social media, the region has seen continuous and violent conflict between farmers, illegal loggers and mining companies, as well as several underreported massacres of indigenous communities.

Iguana is a neo-western shining a spotlight over a place that’s too often forgotten in Brazilian politics, minds and hearts.
